PERD

Program for Educational Research and Development

The Program for Educational Research and Development (PERD) is a component of the department of Education Services in the Faculty of Health Sciences. PERD is a central resource to the educational research and development of the faculty, staff, and students affiliated with the Faculty of Health Sciences.

The faculty and staff at PERD provide years of experience to help healthcare professionals design theoretically grounded and rigorously administered research. The core faculty is available to provide advice to faculty, staff, and students within Faculty of Health Sciences seeking assistance with pedagogic research in health professions. The faculty and staff of PERD offer expertise in the following areas:

  • Curriculum development and on-going program maintenance needs
  • Evaluation of learning resources
  • Development of measurement tools and curriculum
  • Assessment and measurement methodologies
  • Grant preparation
  • Dissemination of research
